Reed DavisReed Davis, Clinical Nutritionist

Reed is a Clinical Nutritionist and Founder of the Functional Diagnostic Nutrition® (FDN) Certification Course. He also developed the D. R. E. S. S. for Health Success® program to consolidate the potent, proven, professional protocols that he developed over a 12 year period in collaboration with other leaders in the field. Reed is known as one of the most successful and experienced clinicians in the world today, having provided functional lab assessments to over 11,000 people for hormone levels as well as adrenal, digestition, detoxification, mucosal barrier, pathogenic, bone density and diet related health problems. He served as the Health Director and Case Manager at The Better Health & Wellness Center in Poway, California for over eight years before launching the FDN Certification Course. Reed lives in Southern California teaching the FDN Certification Course and helping his students to build robust, private-pay practices by integrating functional lab work. He is also on the Clinical Advisor staff at BioHealth Diagnostics Laboratory.

Reed loves helping people and developed Functional Diagnostic Nutrition® (FDN), a phrase he coined to describe the investigation of underlying causes and conditions at the root of today’s most common health complaints. FDN is an emerging field and growing body of work that bridges the gap between Clinical Nutrition and Functional Medicine. Reed developed FDN so that it can be used by both doctors and lay-practitioners alike. He is Certified in Nutritional Therapy by the International Federation of Nutrition and Health. Reed is a Certified Personal Fitness Trainer (IFPA) and Certified Advanced Metabolic Typing Advisor (CMTA). He uses only science-based methods to help clients restore and rebuild health including Metabolic Typing®, the only available technology to determine the right diet for each individual.

Reed has appeared on popular radio shows including Underground Wellness, Blog-talk Radio, Hay House, KCBQ’s “Total Health Line-up” and “The Forever Young Show” as an expert on balancing hormones naturally, bone density problems, digestion and detoxification, immune system health and the Metabolic Typing diet. You’ll find Reed is passionate about health & wellness and a great coach for anyone seeking better health and fitness. Reed delivers a variety of presentations and laboratory services to many organizations, including St. Jude’s Hospital in Fullerton, CA and the United States Marine Corp in San Diego, CA.

Reed is considered the “Columbo” of health. Like the wily and venerable detective, Reed seeks clues that reveal the underlying causes of his clients’ health complaints instead of just treating symptoms. By combining the latest technology and scientific methods with a holistic mentality, Reed and his fellow FDNs help people overcome common health complaints and even serious diseases. While they do not diagnose or treat medical conditions, helping people correct malfunctions can lead to vibrant health and vitality, even though that person may have been previously diagnosed with a medical condition.

You should always consult with your personal physician before starting any therapeutic protocol including vigorous exercise, changes in diet and nutritional supplementation.

Jill PhiloDr. Jill Philo ND, FDN Mentor

Jill’s passionate interest in alternative health started almost fifteen years ago because she was suffering from debilitating migraine headaches. Prescription medications had no effect and actually made her feel worse, so she started researching alternative solutions. The more Jill looked into natural alternatives as a way of improving her own health, the more she wanted to learn. So, natural health care quickly became Jill’s new vocation and she now works as a natural health educator and consultant. Jill focuses on helping clients to be proactive in their health rather than reactive.

Jill has extensive experience in a range of health assessment tools including the use of Metabolic Typing®, Functional Diagnostic Nutrition®, LEAP-MRT and the CoRe system. Her consultations are tailored to each client’s individual needs and transformation is facilitated through awareness and motivation for results that will last a lifetime. Jill’s approach with each client is to investigate multiple levels (physical, emotional, informational and energetic) in order to address the root cause of health issues and to educate clients about effective health strategies on each of these levels.

Prior to this new vocation, Jill worked in business, focusing on client training and skills development. In 1994 she studied aromatherapy extensively under Michael Scholes, and in 1997 Jill became state certified in massage therapy, becoming nationally certified (NCTMB) in 2002. Her research and interest in using natural therapies has continued to expand over the years and in 2003 Jill received her Doctorate Degree in Naturopathy.
